Have you ever wondered or doubted if your child's Independent Education Program (IEP) was "appropriate"?
Are you concerned about your child's educational progress?
Have you felt concerned about your child's learning, but not "heard" by the school?
This summer we are offering a great opportunity to parents who have considered a consultation with an Educational Advocate! Our "Summer Special" provides a 1 1/2 hour comprehensive consultation for only $99. That's a savings of over 40%!
With this consultation, parents will receive a complete "record review", answers to questions regarding adequate educational progress, appropriate settings, and effective interventions that help their child learn and grow. Parent will also receive assistance understanding their child's school evaluations and feedback on current IEPs or 504 Plans. Special Education process is complex and can be emotionally-draining…we can help.
I am the founder of AZ Parent Advocate, an Education Consulting service that assists parents advocate for what their child needs to succeed in school. These needs are often special education services and supports for children with disabilities that impact their learning.
I am Mom to five children: a 15 year-old son with Autism, Bipolar Mood Disorder, and Learning Disabilities; a 10 year-old son with Tourette’s Syndrome, ADHD, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder all associated with PANDAS; a 6 year-old son with Autism; and 3-year-old girl/boy twins. I first learned about special education law after my eldest son was determined eligible for an Individual Education Program (IEP) in first grade. He is now in the 9th grade and attends a private special day school paid for by his public school district.
In addition to my specialization in Educational Consultation and Disabilities, I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a clinical certificate in Infant/Child Mental Health, and a post-graduate certificate in Positive Behavior Support. I also founded AZ Family Therapy & Coaching that provides parent, life, and behavior coaching using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to children with Autism and other disabilities.
My knowledge and experience in helping others has not only helped me provide a better quality education for my children, but also to grow from a shy and timid woman into a confident and proud “Mama Bear” becoming a better advocate for my own needs.
