On April 2nd, 2011 join the EFAZ at Steele Indian School Park for our largest fundraiser, the Phoenix Epilepsy Walk. One out of every 100 individuals has been diagnosed with epilepsy with effects ranging from massive convulsions to momentary lapses of attention, marked only by a blink or random movement.  Epilepsy for most can be treated; however for 30% of those diagnosed with epilepsy their seizures will never be controlled and create a tsunami of health, education and lifestyle complications.

The walk is an opportunity to step up as a champion for the men, women and children affected by epilepsy and their friends and families. One small step can make a big leap in the life of someone with epilepsy.

The course for this non-competitive walk is approximately 2 miles and we have set up alternative routes for individuals who cannot walk that far. Every team member, or individual, who raises $100 receives a commemorative 10th Annual Epilepsy Walk t-shirt.
There is no fee to register.

The annual walk helps raise money to support the programs and services of the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona, and furthers the general public’s knowledge of epilepsy. This is a wonderful way to spend the day with family and friends; leashed dogs are always welcome! We encourage teams of friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers; however participants can register to walk individually.

Online registration closes 2:00 PM on Friday, April 1st. Day of registration is open 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM.
