Hi, I'm Shana. I'm a mom to 3 kids, a 9 year old daughter and twin (boy/girl) 7 year olds. I also work part-time as a paralegal and am the Co-President of the PTSA at my kids' school.
I've been publishing Macaroni Kid North Phoenix for 3 years now and I love it. I love meeting new people, helping new and local businesses and finding out about all the great events and fun things to do in town. And quite honestly, I LOVE giving away stuff.
I knew this was the right "job" for me when my husband challenged me about why I do this .... work events on weekends, stay up late publishing my newsletter and spend hours trying to find cool events to share. My response?
I would do this "job" for free.
It's true.
It took me a very long time to find something I'm passionate about and love doing. I can attest to the saying, "once you find something you love to do you'll never work a day in your life." I am so lucky to have found Macaroni Kid.

My husband and I have been together for ten years, but married for almost five. Shortly after our daughter was born, we packed up everything we owned and moved to Phoenix. My husband, Steve, was so fortunate to land a job with the BMW dealership in Scottsdale, and we were able to establish roots.
I am lucky enough to stay home with my kids and enjoy their everyday lives! Haley is in preschool, and Charlie enjoys our mommy/son time while she’s there. I’m one of those “over the top”, “Pinteresty” type of moms. Completely cliché, but I LOVE crafting, baking, and snapping a picture every single day of their lives. Being a mom, especially one who has a hand in Macaroni Kid, is the best job around.
We are die-hard Chiefs, Royals, and Mizzou fans, and always will be. We set ourselves up for disaster every single season, but wouldn’t have it any other way. My husband is an avid KC BBQer, so most weekends you’ll find us in our backyard smoking some sort of meat. We love to surround ourselves with our friends, and have found some pretty amazing ones so far from home.
I discovered Macaroni Kid three years ago at an event, and instantly wanted to know more. I started out attending an event pretty much every week. I had no idea where to go, fun things to do, etc since we had just moved. Now I get to learn about events beforehand and share them with you.
I can’t wait to get to know all of the other Macaroni Moms and to see all of the exciting things coming soon!
