Bearizona Drive -Thru Wildlife Park

Win a Car Pass (a $100 value)

November 11, 2013

Have you ever been to Bearizona?

Bearizona is conveniently located in the heart of Northern Arizona, and nestled amongst the beautiful Kaibab National Forest, Williams is considered the gateway to the Grand Canyon. Williams’ central location allows visitors to stay and experience Northern Arizona’s beautiful sights and activities. Bearizona is one hour south of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, 30 minutes west of Flagstaff, and three hours southeast of Las Vegas, NV.

Bearizona invites guests to drive into the Arizona wilderness and witness herd and pack life from the comfort and safety of their own private vehicle or motor coach. The Three mile drive allows visitors a unique experience to witness wildlife the way it was meant to be, in a natural environment. Bearizona features an extensive collection of otherwise elusive North American wildlife ranging from majestic bison to rugged big horn sheep, and stealthy wolves to amusing black bear. Bearizona also features a walk through area at the end of the driving tour, called Fort Bearizona.

Visitors will walk along winding paths and view the antics of smaller and baby animals on exhibit in this portion of the park. Fort Bearizona is the location of our exciting birds of prey free-flight educational shows as well. In this area guests will find concessions with umbrella seating and beautiful views as well as a gift shop and spacious clean bathrooms.

Depending on the time of year, visitors to Bearizona will witness an array of weather. Williams is fortunate to experience all four seasons. The temperature in the summer averages 80 degrees, while in the winter time Williams receives an average of 90-100 inches of snowfall. The varying seasons allow visitors unique opportunities to witness animal behavior as it changes throughout the year. It is important to note that the animals at Bearizona are out and enjoy all types of weather!

There are a wide variety of animals that you will see while at Bearizona. Current Species include Alaskan Tundra Wolves, American Brown Bison, American Burro, American White Bison, Arctic Wolves, Big Horn Sheep, Canadian Lynx, Fort Bearizona Mini Barnyard, High Country Raptors, Mountain Goat, North American Black Bear, Prairie Dog, Raccoon, Red Fox, Striped Skunk, Swift Fox, Beaver, Dall Sheep, Collard Peccary (Javelina) and Porcupine.
